Traffic includes minerals (mainly from La Oroya), fuels, cement and food products. The route runs through the spectacular landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. This route is famous for its spectacular landscapes.
In 2012, a proposal for an urban commuter line within Huancayo city, the Huancayo Metro, was unveiled.
