Asiyah, Wife of The Pharaoh

The wife of the Pharaoh, known in some traditions as Asiyah, is mentioned in the Quran:

"And Allâh has set forth an example for those who believe; the wife of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), when she said: "My Lord! Famous quotes containing the words wife and/or pharaoh:

Would you approve of your young sons, young daughters—because girls can read as well as boys—reading this book? Is it a book that you would have lying around in your own house? Is it a book that you would even wish your wife or your servants to read?
    Mervyn Griffith-Jones (1909–1979)

When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was nearer; for God thought, “If the people face war, they may change their minds and return to Egypt.”
    Bible: Hebrew, Exodus 13:17.
