Fat Music For Fat People

Fat Music for Fat People is a compilation album released by the Fat Wreck Chords record label on August 11, 1994. It was the label's first sampler compilation and became the first installment in the Fat Music series, which continued until 2002 with six installments then resumed in 2010. The compilation's title is a parody of The Cramps' 1984 album Bad Music for Bad People. Fat Wreck Chords parodied the title again for a 1999 compilation titled Short Music for Short People.

Famous quotes containing the words fat, music and/or people:

An artist should remain true. Otherwise his talent, like his stomach, grows fat and stuffy.
    Norman Reilly Raine (1895–1971)

We often feel sad in the presence of music without words; and often more than that in the presence of music without music.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

Old people working. Making a gift of garden.
Or washing a car, so some one else may ride.
    Gwendolyn Brooks (b. 1917)
