Famous quotes containing the words caudal and/or nucleus:
“When you were a tadpole and I was a fish
In the Paleozoic time,
And side by side, on the ebbing tide,
We sprawled through the ooze and slime,
Or skittered with many a caudal flip
Through the depths of the Cambrian fen,
My heart was rife with the joy of life,
For I loved you even then.”
—Langdon Smith (18581908)
“Just see how it glints and sparkles. Of course it is a nucleus and focus of crime. Every good stone is. They are the devils pet baits. In larger and older jewels every facet may stand for a bloody deed....”
—Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (18591930)
