Fassifern Railway Station - Transport Links

Transport Links

Hunter Valley Buses (formerly as Toronto Bus Service) runs three routes via Fassifern railway station:

  • Route 270 - Between Toronto West and University.
  • Route 271 - Between Toronto and Glendale.
  • Route 273 - "The Train": loop between Fassifern and Toronto, via Blackalls Park.

Ticketing for "The Train" bus route - which replaced the Toronto line - remains mostly integrated with the CityRail system, and the Train Bus remains shown on CityRail network maps. Passengers for Blackalls Park or Toronto can purchase a CityRail ticket that includes a transfer to the Train bus. Commuters travelling from Toronto or Blackalls Park must purchase a bus ticket to Fassifern station, but can then claim the value of their bus ticket toward a CityRail one for their onward journey.

Famous quotes containing the words transport and/or links:

One may disavow and disclaim vices that surprise us, and whereto our passions transport us; but those which by long habits are rooted in a strong and ... powerful will are not subject to contradiction. Repentance is but a denying of our will, and an opposition of our fantasies.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)

The conclusion suggested by these arguments might be called the paradox of theorizing. It asserts that if the terms and the general principles of a scientific theory serve their purpose, i. e., if they establish the definite connections among observable phenomena, then they can be dispensed with since any chain of laws and interpretive statements establishing such a connection should then be replaceable by a law which directly links observational antecedents to observational consequents.
    —C.G. (Carl Gustav)
