Farid C. Majari ( فريد معجري, also spelled Fareed) is currently the director of the Goethe-Institut in Los Angeles. The Goethe-Institut is the German Cultural Institute, which operates worldwide. Farid Majari had previous postings as director of the Goethe-Institut's offices in Lebanon (Beirut) and in the Palestinian Territories (Ramallah) as well as postings in Moscow and Munich. He has produced numerous films and documentaries and has produced the soap opera "Matabb" (Speed Bump) set in Ramallah in the West Bank.
