Fantasy Ride is the third studio album by American singer Ciara. It was released on May 3, 2009 in the UK by RCA Records and May 5 in the United States on LaFace Records. The album combines R&B and hip hop sounds from her previous albums along with a new pop and dance direction.
The album received generally mixed to positive reviews from most music critics. In the US Chart it debuted and peaked at number 3. Internationally, the album charted in the top 10 in the UK & Ireland, and the top twenty in Switzerland and Belgium amongst others.
The album has spawned three commercial singles: the US R&B top ten "Never Ever" with Young Jeezy, worldwide hit "Love Sex Magic" with Justin Timberlake, and "Work" with Missy Elliott, which only reached top 60 on international charts. It also spawned one US radio single "Like A Surgeon", a compilation album titled Fantasy Ride: The Mini Collection, one nomination at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and one nomination at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
