History
The station opened on 3 October 1888 as Para Meadow. In 1909 the name was changed to Balgownie and in 1956 the current name was adopted. The station underwent maintenance in early 2011. This included the resurfacing of the two platforms, new garden beds underneath the stairs and repainted exteriors.
