He was converted from Islam to Roman Catholic in France,and he was named Dominic,he never denied that he is converted to Roman Catolic. He organized the Albanian Congress of Trieste, held in period February 27 — March 6, 1913. Konica initially gave his support to the Central Albanian government of Essad Pasha.

He died in Washington on 15 December 1942 and was buried in Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. In 1998 his remains were transferred to Tirana and interred at the Tirana Park on the Artificial Lake.
