Experimental Film (song)
"Experimental Film" is a song by alternative rock band They Might Be Giants. It is the first song on their 2004 album The Spine and, although never released commercially, is the album's lead single. The song has been seen by some critics as a return to the band's earlier sound. An animated music video was made for the song by internet cartoonists The Brothers Chaps, which incorporated the characters from the animators' internet series Homestar Runner.
Though it saw no domestic release, "Experimental Film" was released promotionally in Great Britain. The disc included "Am I Awake?" and "Memo to Human Resources" as well as the single. The song was also released on a one-track promotional disc in Australia.

Famous quotes containing the words experimental and/or film:
“The very hope of experimental philosophy, its expectation of constructing the sciences into a true philosophy of nature, is based on induction, or, if you please, the a priori presumption, that physical causation is universal; that the constitution of nature is written in its actual manifestations, and needs only to be deciphered by experimental and inductive research; that it is not a latent invisible writing, to be brought out by the magic of mental anticipation or metaphysical mediation.”
—Chauncey Wright (18301875)
“A film is a petrified fountain of thought.”
—Jean Cocteau (18891963)
