Plot
Based on the true story of Jessica McClure, the baby who fell down an abandoned water well while playing one afternoon in her back yard in Midland, Texas. She was stuck in the well about 20 to 30 feet down and it took rescuers 58 hours to get her out. There was fear that if they shook the ground too much with machinery they could cause Jessica to fall further down and die. Rescuers managed to successfully excavate alongside the well shaft and bring "Baby Jessica" to safety.

Famous quotes containing the word plot:
“After I discovered the real life of mothers bore little resemblance to the plot outlined in most of the books and articles Id read, I started relying on the expert advice of other mothersespecially those with sons a few years older than mine. This great body of knowledge is essentially an oral history, because anyone engaged in motherhood on a daily basis has no time to write an advice book about it.”
—Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)
“Those blessed structures, plot and rhyme
why are they no help to me now
I want to make
something imagined, not recalled?”
—Robert Lowell (19171977)
