The album was predominantly played by Tears For Fears (Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith) and Charlton Pettus. Orzabal performs lead vocal on ten of the twelve tracks (and the two bonus tracks), whilst Smith performs lead vocal on two tracks ("Size Of Sorrow" and "Who You Are").
Drums were played for the album by Fred Eltringham, except on "Size Of Sorrow".
