Eva Mottley (1 January 1953 – 14 February 1985) was a British actress, best known for her role as Bella O'Reilly in the acclaimed television drama Widows.
She made other TV appearances, including a memorable guest role on the sitcom Only Fools and Horses, in the episode "Who's a Pretty Boy? as Corinne, the sharp-tongued wife of regular character Denzil. The character was originally set to feature in more episodes, but due to Mottley's death John Sullivan wrote her out, instead of recasting.
She left the production of Widows 2 due to disagreements with the production team. On the 14 February 1985, whilst on holiday in Miami, Florida, she was found dead from a drugs overdose. Her death was declared as suicide. Widows 2 was broadcast nearly two months later, with the role of Bella having been taken over by Debby Bishop. Mottley and Bishop had both been cast members of film Scrubbers.
