Famous quotes containing the words returning and/or artists:

Gods breath in man returning to his birth,
The soul in paraphrase, heart in pilgrimage,
The Christian plummet sounding heav’n and earth;”

“The upshot was, my paintings must burn
that English artists might finally learn.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
