European Free Alliance Youth

European Free Alliance Youth is a youth organisation made up of members who belong to organisations, movements or political parties that safeguard and promote the cultural, linguistic and national diversity of Europe. The EFAY therefore is an alliance of the youth branches of nationalist and regionalist political parties and organizations throughout Europe, who are actively engaged at the State-Regional and European level. Its members work towards a greater recognition of European diversity.

EFAy is the youth wing of the European Free Alliance European political party. Created by Mikel Irujo (former Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Eusko Alkartasuna) in 2000, when he was Secretary for international issues of Gazte Abertzaleak. Its current president is Roccu Garoby (from Corsica), elected in 2011.

Famous quotes containing the words european, free, alliance and/or youth:

It has become necessary to call the attention of European governments to a fact which is apparently so insignificant that the governments seem not to notice it. The fact is this: an entire people is being annihilated. Where? In Europe. Are there witnesses? One witness, the entire world. Do the governments see it? No.
    Victor Hugo (1802–1885)

Our policy is directed not against any country or doctrine, but against hunger, poverty, desperation and chaos. Its purpose should be the revival of a working economy in the world so as to permit the emergence of political and social conditions in which free institutions can exist.
    George Marshall (1880–1959)

Racism as a form of skin worship, and as a sickness and a pathological anxiety for America, is so great, until the poor whites—rather than fighting for jobs or education—fight to remain pink and fight to remain white. And therefore they cannot see an alliance with people that they feel to be inherently inferior.
    Jesse Jackson (b. 1941)

We live in an age when to be young and to be indifferent can be no longer synonymous. We must prepare for the coming hour. The claims of the Future are represented by suffering millions; and the Youth of a Nation are the trustees of Posterity.
    Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881)
