Ethical Culture Fieldston School - Peer Schools

Peer Schools

Ethical Culture Fieldston is a part of the Ivy Preparatory School League, with many of the city's elite private schools. The three high schools Fieldston, Riverdale, and Horace Mann together are known as the "Hill schools", as all three are located within a short walking distance of each other in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, on a hilly area above Van Cortlandt Park. The three also share perhaps the greatest amount of inter-school sports rivalry.

Famous quotes containing the words peer and/or schools:

    All nature is a temple where the alive
    Pillars breathe often a tremor of mixed words;
    Man wanders in a forest of accords
    That peer familiarly from each ogive.
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

    In schools all over the world, little boys learn that their country is the greatest in the world, and the highest honor that could befall them would be to defend it heroically someday. The fact that empathy has traditionally been conditioned out of boys facilitates their obedience to leaders who order them to kill strangers.
    Myriam Miedzian, U.S. author. Boys Will Be Boys, ch. 3 (1991)
