Essex Road Railway Station - Future

Future

Essex Road is a station on the proposed Chelsea-Hackney line. This scheme is currently being pursued by the developers of Crossrail. It would connect the station to the London Underground network for the first time since the Northern City Line was transferred away from the Northern Line. It would be located between Angel and Dalston Junction. Trains would go to King's Cross St. Pancras, Epping and South West London.

Famous quotes containing the word future:

The final upshot of thinking is the exercise of volition, and of this thought no longer forms a part; but belief is only a stadium of mental action, an effect upon our nature due to thought, which will influence future thinking.
    Charles Sanders Peirce (1839–1914)

“Dark times” is what they call it in Norway when the sun remains below the horizon all day long: the temperature falls slowly but surely at such times.—A nice metaphor for all those thinkers for whom the sun of mankind’s future has temporarily disappeared.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

That children link us with the future is hardly news. . . . When we participate in the growth of children, a sense of wonder must take hold of us, providing for us a sense of future. Without the intimation of concrete individual futures, it is hardly worth bothering with social change and improvement.
    Greta Hofmann Nemiroff (20th century)
