Ernesford Grange School & Community College - History

History

The school was built in 1972 as one of the first suburban community colleges in the country. Over the past few years, the school has been through major changes in both structure and organisation. Many of the blocks have been rebuilt or renovated and the timetable has been rearranged. In 2005, it gained specialist school status in science and is currently the only specialist Science College in the city. The name was changed in 2005 to reflect the Specialist Science status
