Erkan Mustafa (born 14 May 1970) is a British actor and television presenter of Turkish descent, most noted for the part of Roland Browning in Grange Hill (BBC 1982-1987). Unlike most of the other young actors in Grange Hill, Mustafa did not attend a stage school; he auditioned for and won the role after having been found during a nationwide search.
Other parts include "Enormous Orphan" in Blackadder's Christmas Carol (BBC 1988) and "Otto" in Chef! (BBC 1991).
In 1993 Channel 4's The Word tracked him down to a friend's record shop where he was helping out. He then appeared on This Morning's Grange Hill reunion in 1998. In 2005 he appeared in the Grange Hill reunion programme Bring Back Grange Hill.
Erkan occasionally works in television with fellow Grange Hill star Lee MacDonald and both were seen presenting in recent times on E4 Music.
In October 2009, Erkan hosted a Grange Hill Cast Reunion at the Sound nightclub in London's Leicester Square*.
Erkan is the host of a new entertainment TV show called The Venue, that will be aired on UK TV early 2013. The show mixes up-&-coming acts with established names.
