In early 2007, McNaught began a relationship with professional rugby league player, Braith Anasta. While filming on Neighbours, McNaught did not have much time to spend with Anasta; which prompted her to leave. In August 2009, McNaught confirmed that she had split from Anasta and moved out of their shared apartment. She later began a relationship with fellow model Nathan Joliffe. The pair remained together for two years before they split in September 2011. She is currently in a relationship with British singer and rapper Example. In November 2012, Example and McNaught confirmed that they were engaged.
