Eric L. Levinson is an American jurist and lawyer, who served as a judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
He served as a prosecutor and as a state district court judge prior to his election to the state Court of Appeals in 2002. In 2006, he unsuccessfully sought a seat on the North Carolina Supreme Court. In 2007, Levinson resigned from the Court of Appeals to join the United States Department of Justice. He served as the Department of Justice attache at the American embassy in Iraq and also consulted in Afghanistan. Gov. Beverly Perdue appointed Levinson to the North Carolina superior court bench in 2009.
