Star System
The primary component is a subgiant star with a stellar classification of K2 IV. The fusing hydrogen in its core is coming to an end and it is in the process of expanding as a red giant. (The NStars project gave it a classification of K2 III, which would make it a giant star.)
The secondary component is a white dwarf star located at a separation of at least 240 AU from the primary. It has a surface temperature between 9000 and 17000 K.

Famous quotes containing the words star and/or system:
“Far star that tickles for me my sensitive plate
And fries a couple of ebon atoms white....”
—Robert Frost (18741963)
“For us necessity is not as of old an image without us, with whom we can do warfare; it is a magic web woven through and through us, like that magnetic system of which modern science speaks, penetrating us with a network subtler than our subtlest nerves, yet bearing in it the central forces of the world.”
—Walter Pater (18391894)
