Critical Reception

Entourage has generally received favorable reviews from critics, scoring 73/100 for season 3, 71/100 for season 5 and 61/100 for season 7 and season 8 on the review aggregator site Metacritic. Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly, called season 3 "Almost preposterously enjoyable." In 2009, Tucker remarked regarding the sixth season premiere, that "the show really isn’t that funny anymore". The Wall Street Journal commented on the writing, saying it "is almost always smart, sharp and funny." Season 7, while still gaining generally favorable reviews, had a much more mixed reception than the earlier seasons because "it all feels maybe a little too familiar."

Famous quotes containing the words critical and/or reception:

Good critical writing is measured by the perception and evaluation of the subject; bad critical writing by the necessity of maintaining the professional standing of the critic.
    Raymond Chandler (1888–1959)

I gave a speech in Omaha. After the speech I went to a reception elsewhere in town. A sweet old lady came up to me, put her gloved hand in mine, and said, “I hear you spoke here tonight.” “Oh, it was nothing,” I replied modestly. “Yes,” the little old lady nodded, “that’s what I heard.”
    Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)
