Enterprise Capital Fund - Capital For Enterprise

Capital For Enterprise

As of 1 April 2008, responsibility for the management of ECFs along with BIS’s other equity funds and the Small Firms Loan Guarantee (SFLG) was transferred to a new body, Capital for Enterprise Limited (CfEL). This change did not change the nature of the funds or their policy objectives.

CfEL was incorporated in March 2007 as a private limited company wholly owned by BIS, and commenced actively trading in April 2008. It is an asset management business specialising in designing and managing support programmes for SME finance. Its position in the SME finance markets provides it with a unique ability to inform and implement Government policy on those markets.

Famous quotes containing the words capital and/or enterprise:

Self-esteem evolves in kids primarily through the quality of our relationships with them. Because they can’t see themselves directly, children know themselves by reflection. For the first several years of their lives, you are their major influence. Later on, teachers and friends come into the picture. But especially at the beginning, you’re it with a capital I.
    Stephanie Martson (20th century)

The measure discriminates definitely against products which make up what has been universally considered a program of safe farming. The bill upholds as ideals of American farming the men who grow cotton, corn, rice, swine, tobacco, or wheat and nothing else. These are to be given special favors at the expense of the farmer who has toiled for years to build up a constructive farming enterprise to include a variety of crops and livestock.
    Calvin Coolidge (1872–1933)
