Enterprise Application Integration - Future

Future

EAI technologies are still being developed and there still is no consensus on the ideal approach or the correct group of technologies a company should use. There are many ongoing projects that provide support to design EAI solutions. They may range from proprietary projects like Microsoft BizTalk Server, IBM WebSphere Message Broker or open projects like Mule ESB, Apache Camel, Niklas Integration Platform and Spring Integration to academic projects like GuaranĂ¡ DSL. The future is to provide technologies that allow the design of EAI solutions at a high level of abstraction and use MDA to automatically transform the design into an executable solution. A common pitfall is to use other proprietary technologies that claim to be open and extensible but create vendor lock-in.

Famous quotes containing the word future:

[With the Union saved] its form of government is saved to the world; its beloved history, and cherished memories, are vindicated; and its happy future fully assured, and rendered inconceivably grand.
    Abraham Lincoln (1809–1865)

What a prodigious growth this English race, especially the American branch of it, is having! How soon will it subdue and occupy all the wild parts of this continent and of the islands adjacent. No prophecy, however seemingly extravagant, as to future achievements in this way [is] likely to equal the reality.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

One merit in Carlyle, let the subject be what it may, is the freedom of prospect he allows, the entire absence of cant and dogma. He removes many cartloads of rubbish, and leaves open a broad highway. His writings are all unfenced on the side of the future and the possible. Though he does but inadvertently direct our eyes to the open heavens, nevertheless he lets us wander broadly underneath, and shows them to us reflected in innumerable pools and lakes.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
