The company regularly performs seasons at the London Coliseum and has been noted for specially staged performances at the Royal Albert Hall, the Concert for Diana and for producing a new ballet based on the animated TV character Angelina Ballerina. Famous quotes containing the words english, national and/or ballet:

The English language is like a broad river on whose bank a few patient anglers are sitting, while, higher up, the stream is being polluted by a string of refuse-barges tipping out their muck.
    Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)

The Federated Republic of Europe—the United States of Europe—that is what must be. National autonomy no longer suffices. Economic evolution demands the abolition of national frontiers. If Europe is to remain split into national groups, then Imperialism will recommence its work. Only a Federated Republic of Europe can give peace to the world.
    Leon Trotsky (1879–1940)

Anyone who has a child today should train him to be either a physicist or a ballet dancer. Then he’ll escape.
    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
