In 2006 the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools recognized Empire College as an Honor Roll Institution based on its academic excellence, job placement rates, student satisfaction, and community involvement.
In 2007 Empire College had the distinction of being recognized among 1350 educational institutions nationwide with the Career College Association's Community Service Award. The national award recognized the school's impressive record of outreach to local residents and non-profit agencies.
Famous quotes containing the words empire and/or college:
“London, that great cesspool into which all the loungers and idlers of the Empire are irresistibly drained.”
—Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (18591930)
“I never went near the Wellesley College chapel in my four years there, but I am still amazed at the amount of Christian charity that school stuck us all with, a kind of glazed politeness in the face of boredom and stupidity. Tolerance, in the worst sense of the word.... How marvelous it would have been to go to a womens college that encouraged impoliteness, that rewarded aggression, that encouraged argument.”
—Nora Ephron (b. 1941)
