Emotions (Mariah Carey Song)

Emotions (Mariah Carey Song)

"Emotions" is a hit song written and produced by Mariah Carey, and David Cole and Robert Clivillés of the C+C Music Factory, and recorded for Carey's second album of the same name (1991). It was released as the album's first single in the third quarter of 1991 in the United States and in the fourth quarter elsewhere. This disco-influenced song has its protagonist going through a variety of emotions, from high to low, up to the point where she declares "you got me feeling emotions" and sings high notes.

Famous quotes containing the words emotions and/or carey:

Our basic ideas about how to parent are encrusted with deeply felt emotions and many myths. One of the myths of parenting is that it is always fun and games, joy and delight. Everyone who has been a parent will testify that it is also anxiety, strife, frustration, and even hostility. Thus most major parenting- education formats deal with parental emotions and attitudes and, to a greater or lesser extent, advocate that the emotional component is more important than the knowledge.
    Bettye M. Caldwell (20th century)

... my one aim and concentrated purpose shall be and is to show that women can learn, can reason, can compete with men in the grand fields of literature and science ... that a woman can be a woman and a true one without having all her time engrossed by dress and society.
    —M. Carey Thomas (1857–1935)
