Emersons Green is 6 miles from the centre of Bristol and 10 miles from Bath.

Rail: Bristol Parkway is 4.5 miles away and Temple Meads is 6 miles away. Both have frequent service to London, the North and the West Country.

Buses : The 48, 49 and 462 bus services run between Bristol City Centre and Emersons Green. The 48 and 49 services run every 15 minutes, then every 30 minutes on a Sunday. The 518 links to the MOD, Parkway, Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals

Cycle track : The Bristol & Bath Railway Path is nearby. There is also a route north along the ring road.

Roads: Emerson's Green was built as a car-based suburb. It is bordered by the Avon Ring Road, which travels north to the M32 and south to the A4 and then the city centre. Traffic frequently becomes congested on the route during the morning rush hour.
