Elliot Segal - Personal

Personal

Segal was born in Canada but grew up in Houston, Texas. He is married to wife Jacquie, and has two sons (born in February 2004 and in August 2006). He maintains a relationship with his mother, but doesn't seem to like her very much, as he frequently makes disparaging remarks about her and resists contact. Segal also suffers from lupus, but apparently not a serious case. Segal also has a serious case of flatulence, he tends to take care of it while on the air. He had an American Bulldog named Molson, who was put down after a long illness in June 2007. Molson's name was likely a nod to Segal's Canadian heritage. In 2008 he adopted a 150 lb. Great Dane named Deuce who is now taller than him. His wife will not let the dog sleep in bed with them. In keeping with his roots, he also loves hockey, Wayne Gretzky, and Alexander Ovechkin. He's also a season ticket holder to the Washington Capitals. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity while in college at Houston Baptist University.

Famous quotes containing the word personal:

In the weakness of one kind of authority, and in the fluctuation of all, the officers of an army will remain for some time mutinous and full of faction, until some popular general, who understands the art of conciliating the soldiery, and who possesses the true spirit of command, shall draw the eyes of all men upon himself. Armies will obey him on his personal account. There is no other way of securing military obedience in this state of things.
    Edmund Burke (1729–1797)

I began to expand my personal service in the church, and to search more diligently for a closer relationship with God among my different business, professional and political interests.
Jimmy Carter (James Earl Carter, Jr.)

Q: Have you made personal sacrifices for the sake of your career?
A: Leaving a three-month-old infant in another person’s house for nine hours, five days a week is a personal sacrifice.
    Alice Cort (20th century)
