Team Founders
Element One, originally called 'Project Blue Devil', was founded in January 2007 by four ambitious Lawrence Tech students who were excited about renewable energy and dreamed of building a zero emissions vehicle. After almost three years of searching for the right opportunity to build a vehicle, one of the four students met the Formula Zero organization in the Netherlands in December 2006 while on a study-abroad program in Germany. A month later, the four students regrouped and with the support of their faculty advisor, their proposal to form a Lawrence Tech Formula Zero team was approved by the university. The project was founded by the following students and faculty advisor.

Famous quotes containing the words team and/or founders:
“I also heard the whooping of the ice in the pond, my great bed-fellow in that part of Concord, as if it were restless in its bed and would fain turn over, were troubled with flatulency and bad dreams; or I was waked by the cracking of the ground by the frost, as if some one had driven a team against my door, and in the morning would find a crack in the earth a quarter of a mile long and a third of an inch wide.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“A spot whereon the founders lived and died
Seemed once more dear than life; ancestral trees,
Or gardens rich in memory glorified
Marriages, alliances, and families,
And every brides ambition satisfied.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
