Form
The Cyrillic letter El is not to be confused with the Cyrillic letter Pe (П п; italics: П п), which has a straight left leg, without the hook. An alternate form of the letter El (Л л; italics: Л л), more closely resembles the Greek letter Lambda (Λ λ).

Famous quotes containing the word form:
“Language disguises the thought; so that from the external form of the clothes one cannot infer the form of the thought they clothe, because the external form of the clothes is constructed with quite another object than to let the form of the body be recognized.”

“In the county there are thirty-seven churches
and no butcher shop. This could be taken
as a matter of all form and no content.”

“Dug from the tomb of taste-refining time,
Each form is exquisite, each block sublime.
Or good, or bad,disfigurd, or depravd,
All art, is at its resurrection savd;
All crownd with glory in the critics heavn,
Each merit magnified, each fault forgiven.”
—Martin Archer, Sir Shee (17691850)
