Edward Doty was born c. 1595/1599 and died August 23, 1655 in Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Research indicates he may have been from East Halton in Lincolnshire. His name has also been spelled as Doten, Dotey, or Day. Bradford spelled his name as Dotte and Dotey.
