Education Laboratory School is a charter school in Honolulu, Hawai‘i serving grades K-12. Prior to 2002, the school was known as the University Laboratory School or University High School (when referring to grades 9 through 12) when it was a part of the College of Education at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. It is not to be confused with Punahou School, which occupied some of the buildings at the university when they were displaced from their campus by the U.S. military during World War II.

Famous quotes containing the words education, laboratory and/or school:
“Since [Rousseaus] time, and largely thanks to him, the Ego has steadily tended to efface itself, and, for purposes of model, to become a manikin on which the toilet of education is to be draped in order to show the fit or misfit of the clothes. The object of study is the garment, not the figure.”
—Henry Brooks Adams (18381918)
“We are able to find everything in our memory, which is like a dispensary or chemical laboratory in which chance steers our hand sometimes to a soothing drug and sometimes to a dangerous poison.”
—Marcel Proust (18711922)

But love from love, toward school with heavy looks.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
