Echo (music Award)
Echo (stylised as ECHO) is a German music award granted every year by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie (an association of recording companies). Each year's winner is determined by the previous year's sales. The Echo Deutscher Musikpreis is the successor to the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis (German Record Awards).
The winners in the pop category are announced in March; the winners in the classical category in October.

Famous quotes containing the word echo:
“Bondage is hoarse and may not speak aloud,
Else would I tear the cave where Echo lies
And make her airy tongue more hoarse than mine
With repetition of “My Romeo!””
—William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
