Eastern Hills Mall, which opened in 1971, is a shopping mall located at the west border of the Town of Clarence in Erie County, New York, USA. It lies on Transit Road (NYS Route 78), which divides Clarence from the Town of Amherst (Buffalo, NY). The mall is north of the junction of NY-78 with NY-5, Main Street.
The name "Eastern Hills" refers to the very low hills that contribute to a slightly higher elevation than the bordering areas.
Eastern Hills Mall is part of a long commercial strip on Transit Road. It consists of two long wings running north and south and two short wings running east and west, with a major department store at the end of each wing. A food court is located near the end of the long south wing. A three-screen movie theater showing mainly independent films is also located in the mall. There is an extensive parking lot surrounding the entire complex, providing the highest parking ratio of any Buffalo area mall.
Eastern Hills Mall has had two renovations, one in 1986 and another in 2005. The food court was added in the 1986 remodel.

Famous quotes containing the words eastern, hills and/or mall:
“There is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe and there never will be under a Ford administration.... The United States does not concede that those countries are under the domination of the Soviet Union.”
—Gerald R. Ford (b. 1913)
“Tis chastity, my brother, chastity.
She that has that is clad in complete steel,
And like a quivered nymph with arrows keen
May trace huge forests and unharbored heaths,
Infamous hills and sandy perilous wilds,
Where, through the sacred rays of chastity,
No savage fierce, bandit, or mountaineer
Will dare to soil her virgin purity.”
—John Milton (16081674)
“Finishing schools in the fifties were a good place to store girls for a few years before marrying them off, a satisfactory rest stop between college weekends spent husband hunting. It was a haven for those of us adept at styling each others hair, playing canasta, and chain smoking Pall Mall extra-long cigarettes.”
—Barbara Howar (b. 1934)
