Earls (restaurant Chain) - History

History

Leroy Earl Fuller first started the restaurant family business in 1954, but it wasn't until 1982 that the first real Earls was created in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada by Leroy "Bus" Earl Fuller and his son Stanley Earl Fuller. Starting as a Green and White restaurant, with decorative parrots, Earls first originated as a beer and burger joint for locals in the Edmonton area. Leroy "Bus" Earl Fuller's other sons, Stewart and Jeff manage Joeys restaurant chains.

Famous quotes containing the word history:

Throughout the history of commercial life nobody has ever quite liked the commission man. His function is too vague, his presence always seems one too many, his profit looks too easy, and even when you admit that he has a necessary function, you feel that this function is, as it were, a personification of something that in an ethical society would not need to exist. If people could deal with one another honestly, they would not need agents.
    Raymond Chandler (1888–1959)

... in America ... children are instructed in the virtues of the system they live under, as though history had achieved a happy ending in American civics.
    Mary McCarthy (1912–1989)

The principle office of history I take to be this: to prevent virtuous actions from being forgotten, and that evil words and deeds should fear an infamous reputation with posterity.
    Tacitus (c. 55–117)
