History
Earley station was opened in 1863 on the Reading, Guildford and Reigate Railway by South Eastern Railway. The line was opened by the South Eastern Railway on 4 July 1849.
The main approach road to the station is bordered by three terraced, single storey cottages dating back to the origination of the station buildings themselves in May 1863. The cottages were built to house the station workers and their families.
