Earl Clifford Henry (June 10, 1917 – December 10, 2002), nicknamed "Hook", was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for two seasons. He pitched two games for the Cleveland Indians during the 1944 Cleveland Indians season and 15 games during the 1945 Cleveland Indians season.
Famous quotes containing the word earl:
“In the course of the world, a man must very often put on an easy, frank countenance, upon very disagreeable occasions; he must seem pleased, when he is very much otherwise; he must be able to accost and receive with smiles, those whom he would much rather meet with swords.”
—Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (1694–1773)
