Dustin Rhodes - Personal Life

Personal Life

Dustin's father is "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. His real life half brother is Cody Rhodes who also wrestles for WWE on its Smackdown brand. He has a sister named Kristin Runnels Ditto, who is a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

On 28 July 28 1993, Rhodes married Terri Runnels (née Boatright), whom he met while they were both working for WCW. They have a daughter, Dakota Avery, who was born in 1994. Dustin's strained relationship with his father caused problems in their marriage, with Terri alleging that Dusty spread rumors about her that included infidelity and "gold-digging." The couple separated after 6 years of marriage, with their divorce being finalised on 18 October 1999. Years after the divorce, they were able to have a "better relationship" for the sake of their daughter. Runnels married his second wife Milena Martelloni on 26 December 2002. However, the marriage was brief and ended in divorce on 27 August 2004.

On December 14, 2010, WWE released Rhodes' autobiography titled, "Cross Rhodes: Goldust, Out of the Darkness". Dustin announced via Twitter that there will be a sequel to the book.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

I leave the governor’s office next week, and with it public life ... [which] has been on the whole a pleasant one. But for ten years and over my salaries have not equalled my expenses, and there has been a feeling of responsibility, a lack of independence, and a necessary neglect of my family and personal interests and comfort, which make the prospect of a change comfortable to think of.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

Take away love, and our earth is a tomb!
    Flower o’ the quince,
I let Lisa go, and what good in life since?
    Robert Browning (1812–1889)
