- Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Suffolk, 3rd Marquess of Dorset (1517–1554), father of Lady Jane Grey (disputed Queen of England), was an important figure in Henry VIII's court. After his attempt to place his daughter on the throne failed, Mary I had him executed for treason in 1554 for his part in a plot against her. His honours were forfeit although, in any case, he had no male issue who would have inherited.
