Dublin GAA

Dublin GAA is the informal name by which the Dublin County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Irish: Cumann Luthchleas Gael, Coiste Contae Átha Cliath) is usually known. It is one of over 30 regional executive boards throughout the world. While they are known as "county" boards, some are no longer co-extensive with the area of counties of Ireland and still others are outside Ireland altogether, nevertheless the term enjoys common usage. Dublin GAA has jurisdiction over the area that is co-extensive with the combined counties of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin as well as the city of Dublin proper. The Board's role is to promote and regulate Gaelic games as well as to bear responsibility for Board's inter-county teams. Andy Kettle is the Board's Chairman, currently serving his second term of office.
