Connections
Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach route 6 stops at this station on its route between Stockton and San Jose with six daily trips as does line 34 between Stockton and San Francisco with its two daily trips, both each way. Altamont Commuter Express (ACE), a diesel commuter rail service that runs between Stockton and San Jose runs though areas near the station in Pleasanton and is considering a direct connection from the Pleasanton ACE station.
The northern segment of the Iron Horse Regional Trail ends at the north side of the station. As of 2011, plans are underway to continue the trail through the station as part of a project to connect to where the trail resumes in Pleasanton.

Famous quotes containing the word connections:
“... feminism is a political term and it must be recognized as such: it is political in womens terms. What are these terms? Essentially it means making connections: between personal power and economic power, between domestic oppression and labor exploitation, between plants and chemicals, feelings and theories; it means making connections between our inside worlds and the outside world.”
—Anica Vesel Mander, U.S. author and feminist, and Anne Kent Rush (b. 1945)
“The connections between and among women are the most feared, the most problematic, and the most potentially transforming force on the planet.”
—Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
“The conclusion suggested by these arguments might be called the paradox of theorizing. It asserts that if the terms and the general principles of a scientific theory serve their purpose, i. e., if they establish the definite connections among observable phenomena, then they can be dispensed with since any chain of laws and interpretive statements establishing such a connection should then be replaceable by a law which directly links observational antecedents to observational consequents.”
—C.G. (Carl Gustav)
