Drukair started operating the Airbus A319-115 since 23 October 2004. The second Airbus arrived on 3 December 2004.

The ATR 42 first operated on a nine-month lease from April 2010 was evaluated by the airline with the possibility of a future purchase. The Civil Aviation Department's decision on which company will be given authority to operate on domestic routes in Bhutan will influence the decision on which aircraft the airline will purchase. On 4 June 2011, a purchased ATR 42 arrived in Paro. Drukair had bought the 48-seater with the view of using it to service the domestic routes to Bumthang and Yonphula in late 2011. Druk Air's aircraft provide 20 business class seats and 94 economy class seats on its Airbus A319-115.

Famous quotes containing the word fleet:

    On the middle of that quiet floor
    sits a fleet of small black ships,
    square-rigged, sails furled, motionless,
    their spars like burned matchsticks.
    Elizabeth Bishop (1911–1979)

    Believe me, if all those endearing young charms,
    Which I gaze on so fondly today,
    Were to change by tomorrow, and fleet in my arms,
    Like fairy-gifts fading away.
    Thomas Moore (1779–1852)

    A city on th’ inconstant billows dancing;
    For so appears this fleet majestical.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
