Drowtales - World Setting

World Setting

The Drowtales universe is not to be confused with the Dungeons & Dragons universe where drow are generally evil and cruel. There are several similarities though. Drow society in the comic is, for example, ruled by powerful matriarchs and the drow live underground. Some early works referred to the Underdark, but these have since been re-made, both to improve the quality of the artwork, and to remove all references to D&D specific sites.

Famous quotes containing the words world and/or setting:

Some burn damp faggots, others may consume
The entire combustible world in one small room
As though dried straw, and if we turn about
The bare chimney is gone black out
Because the work had finished in that flare.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

One of my playmates, who was apprenticed to a printer, and was somewhat of a wag, asked his master one afternoon if he might go a-fishing, and his master consented. He was gone three months. When he came back, he said that he had been to the Grand Banks, and went to setting type again as if only an afternoon had intervened.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
