Gliding

In order to move from one place to another, Flying Dragons will spread the skin flaps along their abdomens and glide out of trees or from other high areas. Famous quotes containing the word gliding:

How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out, I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

One might call habit a moral friction: something that prevents the mind from gliding over things but connects it with them and makes it hard for it to free itself from them.
    —G.C. (Georg Christoph)

I stand on a bridge of one span
and see this calm act, this gathering up
    of life, of spring water
    and the Muse gliding ...
    Denise Levertov (b. 1923)
