Downer EDI Rail GT42CU AC
The GT42CU AC is a model of Co-Co mainline diesel electric locomotives built by Downer EDI Rail, under licence from General Motors Electro-Motive Division (now Electro-Motive Diesel), for use on narrow gauge railways in Australia. Those operated by Aurizon are the 4000 class, those with Pacific National Queensland on intermodal services are the PN class, while those with Pacific National coal in Queensland are the 83 class. Five units have been ordered by Genesee and Wyoming Australia.
