Although not as well received as Doom 3, Resurrection of Evil garnered mostly favorable reviews; the Windows version holds a score of 78% on the review aggregator site Metacritic, while the Xbox version is rated at 77%. A similar website, MobyGames, ranks the game at 78% for Windows and 79% for the Xbox.
