She had a long term relationship with Damian Aspinall, owner of Aspers, an entertainment company, until July 2007. Their daughter Freya Air Aspinall was born in Westminster, London in September 2003. Air and Aspinall are no longer a couple. Prior to their breakup the couple caused a stir by announcing their intention to place their baby daughter in the care of a gorilla in a ritual Aspinall's older children had already taken part in.
Her charity work is on going and supports Macmillan Cancer Support, Race for Life, Sport Relief, Jeans for Genes to name a few. Donna always talks about benefits of organic food, is an advocate for Bikram Yoga, and Pilates.
In March 2012, Air was acquitted of a charge of obtaining a parking permit by false representation, the case was heard at Isleworth Crown Court. She had obtained a second parking permit for the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea whilst already having one for the borough of Westminster. She had claimed not to realise that it was against council regulations to hold permits for two London boroughs at the same time. The jury accepted her account that her home help had completed the forms on her behalf, and that Air had simply signed them being too busy to read all of the terms and conditions.
