Dixon of Dock Green was a popular BBC television series following the activities of a fictional police station in the East End of London. The TV series ran from 1955 to 1976, and was later revived as a radio series in 2005 and 2006. Despite being a drama series, it was initially produced by the BBC's light entertainment department.
